Kenya Governance Report 2012

This annual report will be a review of issues related to governance reform and the fight against corruption in the preceding year. It will highlight key achievements as well as setbacks faced on the path to good governance and the end of corruption.

In addition, the report will also contain recommendations towards addressing setbacks mentioned.

Environment report : UNPLANNED, UNCOORDINATED, UNCONTROLLED

Once described as the City in the Sun, Nairobi is now characterized by unplanned, uncoordinated and uncontrolled development coupled with a rapid explosion of population. The result; strain on infrastructure, frequent sewer bursts, water shortages and never ending traffic jams.

This report will focus on the environmental management and governance challenges the city is faced with and their probable implications for the future.
