Chemilil Citizens’ Assembly

This forum was held at the Chemilil Sugar Company’s Chui Club in from 11am to 3pm. The aim of the forum was to equip the participants with the knowledge of Devolution and County government as outlined in the new constitution and to inform the participants how the International Criminal Court (ICC) operates and its engagement with cases on Kenya’s post?election violence.

MOPA Muhoroni Forum

The Muhoroni Forum was held in collaboration with Vijana Pamoja and Lambada Youth, who took a lead in mobilizing and organizing for the event. Held at the Pentecostal Church Hall in Muhoroni, this event drew a  total of ninety (90) participants.

Nakuru County: Citizens’ Forum on Devolution and the ICC Process

The above event brought together slightly about 70 participants including members of the public, various interest groups like women’s groups, Twaweza Youth group, civic aspirants and their representatives from the larger Nakuru County including municipality, London area and as far away as Bahati. MOPA Maili Saba Community Show

MOPA teamed up with Human Rights City to organize a community day at Maili Saba in Dandora, located in the newly established Njiru ward about 45 minutes drive from Nairobi’s Central Business District. The community has a population of about 50,000 people who are settled on government land and about 60% of the population are young people below the age of 35.
