Walter Menya, Investigative Journalism Fellow 2013

Walter Menya, has worked as a journalist for six years and is currently attached to the Nation Media Group as a political reporter for the Sunday Nation. He is the holder of a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and media technology from Maseno University. The one time employee of the Star newspaper is pursuing his Master of Arts degree in international studies at the University of Nairobi.

Adow Jubat, a correspondent with the Standard newspaper working out of Garissa County, has over 11 years’ experience in the media. He holds a certificate in journalism from Writers Bureau College of Journalism in Manchester, UK. Jubat has in the past worked as a presenter with Frontier FM, a vernacular radio station and as researcher on an independent project investigating the misuse of funds under the World Bank funded Arid Lands Resource Management Program

With over 4 years experience in the media industry, Anthony began his journalism career in 2007 at Pamoja FM, a community radio station based in Kibera. He was among the first employees of the station as he began working there just as it started broadcasting in 2007 while still studying for his Diploma in Broadcast Journalism and Film Production at the Theovision International School of Media Studies.

Jevans Miyungu, a Bachelor of Science Degree holder from the Kenyatta University, has over 4 years experience in the field of print journalism. His career in journalism began when he first joined the Nation Media Group (NMG) through its editorial training programme in September 2007.

Ken Opala is a Moi University (Eldoret) graduate having obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Publishing. His experience as a development and investigative journalist spans over 17 years.
